Activision – Video Editor
I’ve had the privilege of directing and editing trailers and promotional content for the Call of Duty franchise, including Black Ops 6 & 7, COD NEXT, and Call of Duty: Mobile. My role blended hands-on cinematic game capture with high-impact editing to bring gameplay to life in a way that resonates with fans worldwide.
From orchestrating in-game moments to collaborating with producers, capture teams, and designers, I focused on creating trailers and marketing assets that not only showcase the action, but also tell a story. Whether it was producing global campaign pieces or tailoring content for social and digital platforms, my goal has always been to deliver visuals that capture the energy and excitement of Call of Duty.
Big Trouble – Game Producer
Oversaw end-to-end production for a large-scale game capture project. Managed budgeting, coordinated localization of voiceover audio, and tracked graphic asset requests. Led planning and execution of a complex war sequence involving 200+ capture artists, including scheduling lead capture talent and organizing shot lists. Served as the primary point of contact for the client, providing regular updates on V1 and V2 builds and ensuring alignment on project milestones.

Chris Liu is a Producer/Game Capture Artist living and working in Burbank, CA.
I began my journey in the video game and entertainment industry at the University of California, Irvine, where I served as Director of FPS for TAG (The Association of Gamers). There, I organized watch parties, LAN events, and helped secure partnerships—including one with Riot Games—to establish an on-campus esports arena.
After college, I transitioned into live event production, coordinating major broadcasts such as the SAG Awards, the Oscars, and Twitch events. I later became a Production Manager at CBS, where I worked on high-profile shows like American Idol, Card Sharks, and Press Your Luck.
My career has included projects with Lionsgate, Netflix, Universal, Activision and Twitch—each experience sharpening my skills in storytelling, logistics, and creative execution.
Most recently, I was a Video Editor/Capture Director for Call of Duty: Mobile and Black Ops 7; creating cinematic gameplay trailers, creative marketing ads, and vid-doc intel drops for Call of Duty Mobile, Tony Hawk 3 + 4, COD: Black Ops 6 and more.
Alongside my full-time roles, I’ve also worked as a Game Capture Artist with COLOR, contributing to cinematic gameplay trailers for titles like Halo, Guild Wars 2, Pokémon TCG, Towerborne, and Minecraft. Prior to all this I was a Senior Producer at BuzzFeed, where I produced popular series such as Hot Ones, Puppy Interviews, and Tasty Livestreams.
I’m now focused on combining my passion for games and production into a full-time career in gameplay trailer production—bringing epic in-game moments to life on screen
